Mathematics Lesson 19.  Division with multi-digit numbers, double digit divisors ending in zero, using estimation and solving with remainders. No homework.




Language Arts:  Spelling Test or Vocabulary Assignment, 
Vote and Promote Narrative Writing Pieces from Small Groups. 

Students have no specific homework for the week but are invited to read their biographies.  Project Reports are due in 20 Days. 


Tuesday

Mathematics:  Lesson 18: Continuation of lesson 17 with larger Dividends. HW Lesson 18

Language Arts: Biography report progress check-in.   Vote, Promote and Share Writings about Central Message and Moral of the Story in our Graphic Novel literature  circles.  

Social Studies:  Native Americans of the Northwest, Reading and Writing Packet

Spelling/Vocabulary sheets were studied in class today and should be finished tonight as homework.  Tomorrow students have a spelling or vocabulary quiz.

Monday

Mathematics:  Lesson 17:  Estimating Quotients with Multi-digit divisors

Ex.  (459 / 36).  HW Lesson 17

Language Arts:  Central Message and Moral of the Story in Graphic Novels.  Students read, speculated on these topics, discussed these in their literature circles, and wrote text/evidence-based responses explaining their thinking in the composition journals.

HW:  Biography book report check-in.  Students bring in their biographies and in - progress notes.  The objective is to see that students are off to a running start with their reading.
