Tuesday

Mathematics

Students were encouraged to spend time on Zearn at home, especially if they didn't reach all their learning targets in Module 1 or if their regular Math homework doesn't require much time. They can also use the program to preview what we are learning in class.

Science

Students took a science pretest on the scientific method

They also observed their plants, made drawings, compared the growth of their plants to their group member's plants growth, and speculated on the effect of adding the different nutrients we added to the soil.

Mystery Book Groups

Students are reading their second book from the mystery set with a new group of students.  Today they began their literacy circle process discussing setting and asking clarification questions about the readings they have so far completed in the new books.




Monday

Math:  Began Unit 2.  Find Lesson 1 (only page 25 needed) HW by using the drop down link "Homework Helper"

Word Work:  Suffixes Lesson 1

Writing:  Began personal narrative writing/ generating writing ideas from personal moments.
