Science: We are learning about the male and female reproductive parts of plants, plant pollination via bees, and about bees themselves.
Tuesday
Alabama Moon Read Aloud
Class Meeting: Lunchroom behaviors
Mathematics: Lesson 5 with HW
Language Arts: Literature Circles with Mystery Novels. Discussion of character traits & using evidence..
Writing: Small Personal Moments Stories - Students did a great job of this. Many shared in class today. To do: add to SeeSaw.
Ballroom Dance: We began the Tango today.
Monday
Science / Communications
Students used the new application, Seesaw, for the first time today. They were asked to submit a science journal page where they recorded observations about their plant. I won't have time to review their submissions until later this evening at the earliest. You will receive an email notification from Seesaw once the submission is approved.
Math
Students all worked on Zearn today. We reviewed their individual progress thus far via reports. Students were assigned Zearn as their math homework today as well. I'm encouraging them to use this learning tool at home to support their in class learning.
Reading
Students are working on identifying and comparing character traits using their mystery novels as a source material.
