How This Blog is Organized

Dear Students and Families,

Here is information on what to expect from the Class Blog.  The main information you will receive each week is a post entitled "Academic Calendar and Connections."  Look to these blog entries to list important activities, events, paperwork, and some assignment due dates.  (However, it lists homework only when it is non-routine.)  Finally, it mentions some of the activities and lessons we due in class, especially when they can lend themselves to communication between school and home, sharing what students are learning to promote conversations at home, and relating items related to our community events. In other words it serves to communicate helpful and useful information and provide a bridge between school and home.  The Academic Calendar and Connections entry for each week is typically updated multiple times during the week, and new information is added under the subtitle of the day of the week.   Please note, if the week's load is especially full, I might need to wait until the week's end to make an update.

The other useful feature of the blog is the "Useful links" area that you can access under the menu icon that looks like this:

Finally, additional posts outside of the Academic Calendar and Connections generally relate to highlighting specific happenings in more detail or to provide supplementary information to topics under study in class.
